Maggie and her family.

Maggie was one of my IELTS students at Jiahua in Shenyang,
and became a second daughter to me.
She told her mother that I liked dumplings,
and so on 22 December 2002, their home was the very first
household that I visited in China.
Her mom prepared enough food for an army.

I was introduced to the Chinese love affair with the Kareoke phenomenon.

And to the delight of her mom,
I even pretended that I could dance.
